Junior Academy
An iconic golf courses – golfing treasures for both the enthusiast and social golfer.
For youngsters interested in learning the game of golf or looking to improve, our Academy is certainly the place to be. Reaching out to all age groups, youths (6/11) & juniors (12/18) are encouraged to enjoy golf as a game as well as improve, and our team of organisers ‘preach’ fun, fun, fun and make sure, first and foremost, it’s a fun game to play.
We offer golf to all levels and skills, welcoming new and experienced golfing youngsters alike. Every Saturday around noon the youngsters meet to learn and work on all aspects of the game. Our club professional is always on hand to support and offer advice.
Our policy firmly believes ‘you can only learn to play golf on the course’, so we have installed an Academy 9 hole course of just over 1000 yds on which regular in-house competitions are held. The club enters many county and regional competitions, with considerable success in recent years.

Our Future Golfers
We know that junior golfers are the future of every golf club and have developed a Junior Academy with over 50 junior golfers who can take part in a range of events to suit their ability. Having assessed your golf you will join either the Cadets or for the more experienced golfers in the Junior Academy. Canons Brook runs a programme of competitions throughout the year particularly during school holidays and meet on a weekly basis.
