Canons Brook golf club aims to make golf accessible and affordable to the widest possible community by providing a range of Sections & Societies to suit the needs of juniors through to seniors.
Internal Societies
As a member of Canons Brook Golf Club you will be welcomed by any of the internal societies within the club. We want to make sure that every member has the opportunity to play and to mix with other members.
To that end several groups have dedicated times to play together on a regular basis in friendly competition. Golfers of any standard can join these groups, and the Welcome Pack that we provide gives the details, times and who to contact if you want to join in.
Ladies Section
You will always find a friendly and warm welcome at Canons Brook Ladies Section, whether you are an experienced golfer looking for challenging and competitive golf, a social golfer looking for exercise and good company or a beginner thinking about taking up golf.
At Canons Brook Golf Club, we want to encourage more females to participate in golf. There are plenty of reasons to take up golf as a sport; playing golf can be excellent exercise and yet it hardly feels like exercise, fresh air, outdoor activity and the camaraderie among golfers makes you feel alive.
We have:
Competitive golf at all levels (Ladies’ competitions are played on Tuesdays and at weekends).
Informal golf on Thursday.
Opportunities to play mixed golf.
Opportunities to play singles, and pairs knockout competitions.
The Canons
(Veterans Section)
The Canons Section is open to all club members who are age 55 or over. The Section welcomes all abilities, has 50+ members and is active throughout the year with organised golf on every Thursday. In addition, annual events include a Captains Away Day and an overnight trip with two days of golf.
There are friendly matches, both home and away, with other local clubs throughout the spring and summer, competitions in various formats for a number of trophies and individual and pairs knockout competitions. However, if you prefer, you can simply join in for social play while others strive for glory. A number of members also meet up and play in informal groups on Mondays and Wednesdays.
This lively and well supported Section has its own area on the member’s web site and utilises the ClubV1 and HowDidiDo apps where you can keep up to date on competitions and matches wherever you are.
A warm welcome awaits anyone wishing to join us.
